Villarrica Volcano (2,847 m a.s.l.)

A full-day adventure to the summit of one of Chile’s most iconic and active volcanoes. Starting early from Pucón, this ascent takes you to 2,847 m with sweeping views of surrounding volcanoes, lakes, and forests and offering the rare chance to peer into the steaming crater once at the summit! The route is non-technical, but physically demanding, suitable for fit hikers with a sense of adventure. During winter and spring, the ascent can also be done on skis, with an exhilarating descent from the summit!
